Holy crap!
Can you believe it is November?!
This is the fastest year I have ever experienced – how does that happen?!
As we enter the holiday season, we know typically the end of the year will ZOOM by! So let’s get really serious about not letting the craziness of time and demands keep us from enjoying the finer things in life – PEOPLE, CONNECTION, and RELATIONSHIPS.
Here are 3 tips to take it all in stride with health and contentment. These may sound familiar:
1. Take one minute a day to sit calmly and quietly.
If you could do this for 20 or 30 minutes you would get a gold star from me but I know that within the craze of all your demands, the idea of sitting for 20 or 30 minutes may cause the opposite effect and stress you out! So, just start simple. One minute a day, with no phone, noise or distraction. If you have to feign food poisoning, then do it and lock yourself in the bathroom. For more see Episode 6.
2. The F#@& It Bucket – you remember this from Episode 3 .
Put all the stuff that just doesn’t really matter in the bucket and move on. Don’t lose heart beats over half the crap that stresses you out 🙂
3. Create calm ANYWHERE!
You remember this from Episode 4 and have been practicing all year right? Me neither.. :-/ Use your imagination to take you away from it all and let your brain go to your “happy place” for a change in your brain chemistry. We have a well worn groove in our stress neurological pathways, why not create a groove in your calmed pathways?
Remember, the holidays are for you to enjoy. You get to make that a priority too 🙂
