The rule to break: Comparing your self to others.
Listen, we are inundated with information. We can compare ourselves to people we don’t even know or don’t REALLY know thanks to social media. I love Facebook and Insta, my go-to platforms but there is a danger to what matters most to us when we spend too much time scrolling. We must return to what matters to us — our relationships, our people, our purpose and our children. How are you comparing yourself to others? How does that comparison alter our sense of well being? We live in a time where we drive home, close our garage doors and stick to ourselves because the hamster wheel has exhausted us. We turn to social media for a form of connection but it is disconnecting us from ourselves?
Comparing ourselves to other’s sizzle reels, the highlights, is a unfair comparison. What’s the truth? What is your truth? That cannot be compared because YOU are you and you are enough.
